The InnovatieNetwerk has won a prize at the Agrofilmfestival for their film ‘Future for the eel’. This film was a joint effort between Volendam Glasaal BV, the county of Noord-Holland, the local authorities of Edam-Volendam and local fishermen.

The Agrofilmfestival was organized by the Animal Production Research Centre in Nitra who were supported by the Food- and Agriculture organization of the NATO. ‘Future for the eel’ (about boundary breaking research into the breeding of glass eel) won second prize in the category ‘expert and instructive films’.

Daphne Bergsma, ambassador in Bratislava, received the awards together with Ellen van de Vrugt of the Agriculture council during the closing ceremony of the festival last Friday. The awarded films were both made by director Piet Hein van der Hoek (DBC Media and ex-Zembla) on behalf of InnovatieNetwerk.
