Vacancy Chief Research & Operations Officer (COO)

About Glasaal Volendam

Our goal is to become the first aquaculture lab in the world solving the European eel mystery and being the first company to produce European glass eels on a commercial basis. Next to that we want to create a commercial aquaculture facility of international status, and become the global market leader in the production and distribution of European glass eels.

From its origin, Glasaal Volendam advanced far into the reproduction cycle of the eel: it is the leading company in the development of eel reproduction. The strategy of Glasaal Volendam is to achieve commercial scale glass eel production in 3 Business Phases, each lasting around 5 years. We are entering now phase 3. As off 2019 a further professionalization of the company is needed and therefore we’re looking for a senior research & operations officer.
