Glasaal Volendam currently operates on the basis of five full-time employees (biological researchers). All five have one or more Master's degrees and international experience in aquaculture. The aquaculture sector is young. Fish farming has only existed in the Netherlands since the 1980s. And it is an innovative sector, with great expectations for world food production.
